Samuel Akeri Back in Sudan

We've shared before the exciting story of the conversion of Sudanese native Samuel Akeri, whose family was relocated to Nashville from a refugee camp in Kenya. After becoming a Christian,Samuel had a burning desire to return to Sudan to tell his home village the story of the Gospel. He was able to make some trips back, and several people were baptized and a church established. He also arranged the gift from the tribal chief of over 140 acres of land tothe church.

Samuel has now returned to Sudan to spend time building a meeting place for the church and to build a home for himself and start a chicken ranch. Chickens are not currently raised in South Sudan, and any available are imported from Uganda. This is believed to be the only
chicken ranch in South Sudan.
Samuel's desire is tomove his family back to Sudan and to become self-supporting while he preaches. On July 5, Samuel will enter a preacher training school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to prepare himself to be able to preach the Gospel toh is people in Sudan.
